30 weeks.. nursery updates.

We are in our 30th week now 30 weeks and 4 days to be exact:
I feel great still, and had a good report from my endocrinologist and cardiologist this week. I go to the OB today, as my every 2-week appointments start. It feels as if Bryce is building a castle inside me with all of his cool moves, and he has been obsessed with tangerines and red grapes the past few weeks (notice I blame him).
The nursery is finally coming together..not really sure what took me so long to do more. The only furniture left to put in the room is the rocker, which we ordered last week. I can't wait for it to be here! There is still a good bit more I need to do but here is the nursery so far:

I'll post pictures again when the nursery is finished.. hopefully in the next few weeks :)

Week 29!

Today is 29 weeks and 3 days= 74 days until our due date! At this point, time is moving very slow..I imagine this will only get worse as each day passes. Our 28 week appointment last week went well- I had my glucose tolerance test and received my Rhogam injection. For anyone who is a mom or planning to be and you have a negative blood type, Rhogam injections are no joke! I mean I can't say much because I know my near future entails much more pain than that, but that thing hurt..bad. And it continued to hurt for about 3 hours. So, sympathy goes out to all who have had it, and a warning for those who will need it in the future :)
Now we will go to see our doctor every 2 weeks, which makes the due date seem closer than it really is!

On another note, I bought a web cam today so that all of our friends and family who live far away can see us whenever they want. I knew this would be a great way for everyone to see Bryce once he arrives, so I will be setting it up today. Thank you, creators of Skype :)

I'm working on a few nursery projects right now so I will hopefully post some pictures next week..
Lastly, the bump..

The third trimester is here: 28 weeks!

Well I am a day early for the post, but so excited to say we are in the final trimester! woohoo! It has been a long and not so easy road to get here, but we are so blessed by this little life already. The journey from day one until now has been so fun, as we've watched and felt him grow and have learned glimpses of his personality already. The Lord is knitting him together perfectly!

Some updates on Bryce:
*He now weighs in at around 2.5 lbs and is around 15-16 inches long from head to heel.
*He is now blinking with his eyelashes in place. He has REM sleep cycles now, which means he could already be dreaming.
*He can cough, and have the hiccups- which Bryce tends to have about 5 times a day.. poor buddy. (He actually has them right now as I type)

Some updates on mommy:
*I haven't been sick for 3 weeks now, minus a few rare occasions, which has been so great!
*I am currenly wearing a really cool heart monitor for 2 weeks to record any palpitations/ irregularities that may or may not be associated with my thyroid medication.
* My cravings still change all the time: my newest addition is Dr. Pepper-just an 8oz can :) . I still crave any kind of pasta or pizza, salt and vinegar chips, and fruits/juice galore. I am also convinced I will never be able to eat deli turkey ever again in my life.

Our 28 week appointment is next week, and I will be taking the glucose test for gestational diabetes. I will also be getting a Rhogam injection because I am Rh negative. Rhogam is an Rh0 immunoglobulin that is given to prevent antibodies from developing against Rh positive blood. (This will prevent my body's immune system from fighting Bryce and any future pregnancy, helping to prevent complications and miscarriage).

I will update next week after our appointment and give some nursery updates also :)

Lastly, a new bump picture:

::the nursery & other projects::

It has been nice to feel good this week and make some progress in Bryce's nursery and complete some other projects around the house. Daniel and I finally painted the nursery, after I made a color exchange from the first attempt. Thankfully, Lowe's sympathized with my distaste in a paint color that ended up looking like wet cement on the walls, so it only cost us time to start over. The final color.. White Scallion- a very pale green which I love! We also assembled the crib and changing table, which was surprisingly super easy.
My favorite part of the nursery so far are the things I got from Daniel's mom to have in the room. One is a needleart ABC's picture that Daniel's mom and grandmother had made for Daniel's nursery; the other is one of Daniel's newborn outfits. I love them!
Here are some pictures of the nursery so far:

The blessing and curse: a bathroom in the nursery (can't put any furniture on that wall):

Here are the other projects I finished this week:

I assembled my Christmas present from Daniel's parents- a computer armoire! And I finally hung up some pictures in the family room :)

I will keep you guys posted on nursery updates... 100 days until our due date so it feels like crunch time!

2011: Happy (Birth)Year Bryce!

Well, 2011 is here! I cannot be more thankful for all of the Lord's many blessings in 2010- many HUGE blessings that have totally changed my life.
On January 8th, I said "YES!" to marrying the most amazing person I know.. at that time I was living in Birmingham (sharing a room with Heather) and working at UAB Hospital.

My last day of work and moving to Georgia happened in late March. Pre-marital counseling began..big baby steps forward to becoming Mrs. Daniel Wilson.

April 29th marked a quarter of a century of my life had been lived. I barely remembered my own birthday because of the wedding excitement.

On May 8th, Daniel and I entered into a covenant of marriage with our Lord! The greatest and dearest day of my life apart from knowing the Lord as my Savior. The day after started the best vacation we will probably ever go on in our lives- a honeymoon at the Ritz-Carlton in St. Thomas!

May, June, and July were months spent in Atlanta as newlyweds. Daniel worked and I played (by play I mean fixed up our apartment, changed my name on everything, wrote a million thank you cards, and cooked yummy dinners every night)
Daniel turned 26 on June 3rd.. it was his first married birthday.

August 9th- We took a pregnancy test- then another. see results below:

PREGNANT! due date: April 23, 2011

I spent the next 3 months in our apartment, and Daniel spent those months taking care of me and our household.

October 25th- Daniel and I moved to Lakeland, Florida

November 18th- It's a BOY! Our sweetpea became Bryce Hayden :)

then came our first married Thanksgiving, and our first married Christmas..

And now it is 2011! It makes it seem that much closer to our Bryce taking his first breath, a moment I envision over and over in my head.
Bryce- mommy and daddy can't wait to meet you this year!
Thank you Lord for blessing our lives so much in 2010. We look forward to this new year, as it reminds us of our eager longing for Christ to return.

Bryce's 22 week adventures in NYC!

My feet are propped and I have no plans to leave the house today in recovery from our fun-filled weekend in New York City! This was mine and Bryce's first trip to the Big Apple, courtesy of Daniel's parents. We saw West Side Story on Broadway, the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall, heard Tim Keller preach at Redeemer, and toured all over the city in between. It was all pretty surreal to say the least, yet my ankles are glad to be back again (this was my first taste of pregnancy swelling- a sight to see!) Here are a few pictures from the trip:

And now it is Christmas week..ALREADY! I am looking forward to time with family, especially when my mom comes down on the 27th. We sure do wish our little man was out here in our world with us, and already looking forward to next Christmas with him. But for now we will enjoy our first Christmas together as Mr. and Mrs. :)  Here is a picture of our first tree:
Merry Christmas everyone! Treasure our Lord and Savior as we celebrate this season of His coming here on earth, and look forward to and put our hope in His coming AGAIN!

Half-way there...20 weeks!

20 down...20 to go. Seems like an eternity until we can hold our sweet Bryce man! We had our 20 week appointment with the doctor on Thursday- good news is he is still a BOY :) He weighs around 12 ounces and is about the length of a banana from head to heel.
A report on me: My thyroid levels are still elevating so my medication has been increased. I believe this is because of not being able to keep the medicine down on a consistent basis. They will be testing for any underlying cause of what is triggering the elevated TSH levels in January. Also, I was referred to a cardiologist for some issues I am having with some racing & irregular heart rate episodes. My OB thinks it could be caused from the thyroid issues, but to be sure I have to see the cardiologist. My sickness is touch and go at this point, which for me is great compared to earlier weeks. Bryce- you are worth all of it little buddy!
A little info on our man:
Bryce is very active now, and responds when Daniel talks to him close to my belly (talk about a heartmelting moment). I can get him to respond to me if I talk in a low, deep daddy voice..haha! He also loves Christmas music like mommy :) His favorite things to eat right now are apples, tangerines, and pizza/pasta- he also LOVES pineapple juice. And he has completely forgotten how much he loved diet orange soda (probably a good thing).
This is long enough... I'll post our first Christmas tree next week.
And I did promise a bump picture:
